About the Author

I am Brian Iverson, an IAM veteran with over 30 years of experience. I started with directory services (Novell, Netscape/Sun and even Microsoft a little bit), transitioned into access management (Netegrity, Oblix) and settled into provisioning and eventually IGA (Waveset/Sun, Thor/Oracle, IBM/Tivoli, M-Tech/Hitachi ID, SailPoint). I covered IAM for Gartner from 2013-18, where I was a co-author of the Magic Quadrant for IGA and lead author of Critical Capabilities for IGA. Since then I have focused almost exclusively on IGA, working in strategy and product management.

I live on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country, about 15 minutes west of New Braunfels, 30 minutes north of San Antonio and 90 minutes south of Austin.
